Summary
Participants will learn the basics of human motivation. Our behaviour fulfils one or more of our basic needs of love and belonging, power, freedom, fun and survival needs. Learn how to relate to children and unleash their full potential with “tonic” behaviour that builds relationships instead of “toxic” behaviour that damages relationships.

Participants of this full day workshop will deep-dive into the applications of Choice Theory Reality Therapy after a quick recap of the basic concepts. Learn ways to help clients make the choice to switch from ECP (External Control Psychology) to ICP (Internal Control Psychology). Learn how to listen for change-talk and in-control talk as well as the connection between reality therapy and mindfulness. Bring your cases for direct consultation with Bob as he demonstrates the applications of CTRT through his signature role-play!

Summary
Student behaviour in schools is often an extrapolation of issues at home. Teachers, school counsellors, leaders and policy makers can benefit from this workshop by evaluating the efficacy of their actions and through gaining an insight of their unmet needs, learn to plan alternatives and carry out more effective action plans. Bob will conduct his signature role-play, so bring your most difficult student case for a demonstration of what to say when you don’t know what to say.
